Anxiety & persistent worry

When worries take up a lot of space or you find yourself avoiding more situations.

Low mood & depression

When pleasure, energy or hope feel distant and daily life takes more effort.

Exhaustion & overwhelm

When demands feel unmanageable and rest no longer seems to restore you.

Change & difficult transitions

When familiar ground shifts and finding a new direction feels difficult.

Grief & loss

When a loss changes your life and you would welcome someone alongside you.

Self-worth & relationships

When self-criticism, boundaries or recurring relationship patterns cause distress.

What cognitive behavioural therapy can look like

Thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions affect one another. We explore these connections together, without jumping to conclusions. A response that once helped you cope may have become less useful in a different situation.

We might look closely at unhelpful thinking patterns, practise responding to difficult feelings or gradually reconnect with meaningful activities. Any work between sessions is agreed together. It is an invitation to explore, not a test.

Therapy is individual. We discuss whether this approach fits your needs and regularly review our work. No particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Finding the right setting

This practice concept offers individual, in-person therapy. It does not include couples therapy, treatment for children or adolescents, or online appointments. If another service would fit better, we would discuss suitable alternatives.

When you need a different kind of support

The practice does not provide urgent crisis intervention or prescribe medication. Contact your GP or a psychiatrist for medical assessment and medication advice. If there is immediate danger, call 144.
